Decks with custom laser graphics require more time and work than the rest of the decks in our catalog, therefore, manufacturing and order processing will take about 5 to 7 days, but, it will be worth it! ✨🛹
Keep reading to find out how you can customize your graphic, the guidelines to follow, and the template to bring your graphic to life. All custom orders are handled through our email info@retrofingerboards.com. Once you’ve decided on the graphic of your dreams, you can place your order.
On the other hand, you can also choose to ask us to design it for you, you can also choose between 29, 32, and 34 mm width, remember to select the appropriate options when placing your order. ✅
As soon as we have your deck finished, it will be sent. One thing to keep in mind is that custom orders have priority over the production of the rest of the stock, so you can be assured, it will arrive as soon as possible! 📦🚙
I will explain the design process using the free software Gimp, but you can use whatever software is most comfortable for you, like Canva, Photoshop, Inkscape, Photopea…

We provide you with a template in blank, with guides so you can see how your table might look like. To use it, you need to know that the image has this format and resolution:
Open the template.
Open the .XCF file with Gimp (v2.10!!), or the PNG for other softwares. We also provide a PSD version for photoshop.
Although you choose a different size, to facilitate the process, the image is 36mm x 100mm, with a density of 508ppi (pixels per inch) or 20 pixels per millimeter.
Using the template.
In Gimp, you can toggle the visibility of guides with the following keyboard shortcut: Ctrl+Shift+T. ⌨️
In the template, you have guides for 29, 32, and 34 mm deck boundaries. Activate or deactivate the guides according to your convenience. Everything inside the guides will be displayed on the deck of the chosen size.📏
REMEMBER, you are creating a graphic for laser, so the image must be in black and white; the style that gives a nicer result is line art, but you can also use other styles, for example, manga.
